Project overview
FastString delivered one of Jackson State University’s most extensive physical-security modernization initiatives, implementing the systems and infrastructure required for a fully integrated, campus-wide access-control environment.
The university needed to strengthen protection across seven occupied buildings while meeting an aggressive schedule and minimizing interference with students, faculty, staff and daily operations.
FastString coordinated structured cabling, door hardware, servers, PIMs, antennas, programming, integration, testing and commissioning using Avigilon access control and Allegion electronic locking technology.
The program was completed on schedule and within budget, delivering a modern, highly reliable platform designed to support future growth and evolving campus-security requirements.
The result
Jackson State gained an integrated security foundation that improves control today while preserving the flexibility to expand as its facilities and requirements evolve.
