FastString successfully delivered one of Jackson State University’s most extensive physical security modernization initiatives, implementing a comprehensive access control solution across more than 1,500 doors throughout seven campus buildings. The large-scale project included the installation, configuration, and commissioning of new servers, PIMs, antennas, structured cabling, electronic locking hardware, and the supporting infrastructure required for a fully integrated, campus-wide security system. To maintain efficiency and meet an aggressive project schedule, FastString deployed specialized teams focused on structured cabling, door hardware installation, system programming, integration, testing, and final commissioning. Utilizing Avigilon access control technology and Allegion electronic locking solutions, FastString successfully completed the project on schedule and within budget, while minimizing disruption to students, faculty, staff, and daily campus operations. The result is a modern, scalable, and highly reliable security platform that strengthens campus-wide protection while providing Jackson State University with the flexibility to support future growth and evolving security requirements.
